Third party file viewer is missing, contact tech support

This error appears when a user tries to enlarge an image by double-clicking on a thumbnail with a missing file

The file ThirdPartyLauncher.exe is missing from XDR's Bin folder (typically C:\XDRClient\Bin). This error appears when the user tries to enlarge an image by double-clicking on a thumbnail. 

  • Check the workstation for anti-virus (AV) software (Avast, Norton, AVG, etc.) and look to see if the AV has quarantined the file ThirdPartyLauncher.exe.
  • If so, restore the file and add an exception to the AV software to allow that file.
  • If you cannot do this, you may need to manually replace the file ThirdPartyLauncher.exe into XDR's Bin folder or reinstall the XDR client.
